We administer IV biologic and biosimilar therapy medications and IV or injectable medication for osteoporosis as prescribed by each patient's physician. Once authorization is received from your insurance and any necessary baseline testing has been received, you will be contacted to schedule your infusion or injection. It is always important to review with the infusion nurse any recent medications, illnesses, surgeries and or other changes in your health prior to beginning your treatment.

- How long does an infusions/injection take?
- Answer: Once the medication is prepared, the I-V started, and any pre-medication is given, it could range from 30 minutes to 5 hours depending on the type of medication.
- Are the infusions painful?
- Answer: None of the medications we use are painful to administer.
- Why are biologic or biosimilar infusion medications prescribed?
- Answer: To control many types of autoimmune diseases.
- How would I know if I am having a reaction?
- Answer: Reactions can vary but may include rash, swelling or itching. Additional reactions that are rare may include rapid heartbeat or shortness of breath.
- Might I have a reaction to the medication?
- Answer: Reactions are very uncommon but nevertheless you will be closely monitored. An Infusion nurse will be with you at all times and no infusions are given without a staff physician on site.
- Will my infusion be covered by my insurance?
- Answer: Before you are scheduled to receive any medications, your benefits and responsibility will be discussed. It is important to inform us immediately of any changes in your insurance coverage.
