Tara Levy, APRN, ACNS-BC

Tara Levy, APRN, ACNS-BC joined Deschutes Rheumatology in November 2021 after over fifteen years in advance practice roles providing diagnostic and treatment services for patients in the fields of rheumatology, cardiology, and pain management. Tara was born and raised in Texas and spent 25 years living in Austin, Texas, the “Live Music Capital of the World”, prior to relocating to Bend in 2020.
Tara received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1998. She returned to the University of Texas at Austin and obtained a master’s degree in nursing in 2005, graduating with honors. Tara worked as a labor and delivery nurse before beginning her advanced practice career in 2005. Her first position as a Clinical Nurse Specialist was with an Austin based rheumatology practice where she enjoyed practicing rheumatology for five years. She subsequently worked for ten years in the fields of cardiology with Austin Heart, and pain management with Capitol Pain Institute.
Tara and her family relocated to Bend in 2020, fulfilling a longstanding wish to live in the beautiful environment of Central Oregon. Tara and her husband, their two sons, and their dog, Ziggy Stardust, are enjoying the incredible nature, community spirit, and opportunities for adventure that Oregon and the Pacific Northwest have to offer. She is thrilled to be a part of the Deschutes Rheumatology family.
